Zoom sur Ekowash

Lancée en 2021 à Reims (51) par Valérian Challut et Thibault Paczkowski, la start-up Ekowash développe actuellement une borne de lavage des mains nouvelle génération pour améliorer l’hygiène tout en réduisant considérablement la consommation d’eau et de savon. Après une première série de tests réussis au début de l’année 2022, la start-up a été labellisée French Tech Tremplin et bénéficie de l’accompagnement et du soutien de l’État. Elle prévoit de lancer la production de sa borne Eko en septembre prochain.  

Diplômés de l’Université Paris-Dauphine et de l’Inseec Lyon, Valérian Challut et Thibault Paczkowski décident de créer Ekowash en partant d’un double constat : 80% des bactéries et virus se transmettent par les mains alors même que la moitié des maladies pourraient être évitées en adoptant un cycle de lavage conforme aux recommandations de l’Organisation Mondial de la Santé. Tandis que, dans le même temps, on estime qu’une personne utilise 1,2 L d’eau en moyenne à chaque fois qu’elle se lave les mains. « Nous avons donc cherché à mettre au point une solution qui permette de réduire à la fois la circulation des maladies mais aussi notre consommation, puisqu’aujourd’hui 4 personnes sur 10 sont déjà touchées par des pénuries d’eau dans le monde », explique Valérian Challut. 

Octomousse le savon zéro déchet et sa bouteille en Inox Design by Ekowash

Les fondateurs d’Ekowash ont annoncé le lancement de leur toute nouvelle marque Octomousse le mois dernier destinée aux particuliers. Ils ont développé un savon zéro déchet et sa bouteille en inox, réutilisable à vie. 

L’ambition d’Octomousse est de réduire la consommation plastique liée au lavage des mains et ainsi aider à la dépollution des milieux marins. 

La seconde marque d’Ekowash propose 2 produits : 

  • Un savon zéro déchet sous la forme d’une pastille solide. Une fois mise dans l’eau, la pastille se désagrège et crée un onctueux savon en mousse. 

Les pastilles permettent de limiter le transport ainsi que le stockage nécessaire. 

  • Une bouteille en inox design, qui est réutilisable à vie et recyclable. Ce distributeur de savon en mousse, disponible en 2 coloris pour le lancement, permet de supprimer les bouteilles de savon en plastique et ainsi économiser 150g de plastique par personne et par an.
